Credit: Daniel Maimone“They were feeding really close to the shore today,” Maimone said on Saturday. “These shots were taken from 46th Street to Corson’s Inlet.”The whale is likely a humpback — a species not uncommon to New Jersey waters, but rarely seen so close to shore.Maimone said there possibly could have been two whales and that they were not in distress. He said they were back at the same spot on Sunday morning.
