The slow-burning intensity of this FA Cup tie was wrapped up in the chasing and harrying, the bundling challenges and hopeful pot-shots, until Pogba suddenly elevated himself, the game, and Manchester United’s vibrant Cup run.In a 14-minute spell at the end of the first half they carved out an unassailable lead thanks to the blend of vision, technical precision and physical force that is Pogba at his swaggering best. First, the cross: Ander Herrera set off on a sudden sprint up the right, anticipating that United might be about to unleash an invaluable weapon. Pogba with the ball at his feet on his current form always presents the possibility of a stirring touch. FA Cup Paul Pogba The Frenchman hoiked his cross beautifully into the space Herrera was fast approaching. With Marcos Alonso, a player whose form has mirrored the rise and now stomach-knotting fall of Chelsea’s experience under Maurizio Sarri, showing no sense of the runner’s whereabouts, Herrera nodded in unchallenged. Then, the smell of goal: Pogba doubled United’s lead with a move he started and finished, pinging the ball out to Marcus Rashford and bounding forward to meet the first-time cross with a header. Job done. Next round. Merci et bonne nuit.Sometimes in the life of a player there comes a time when every touch, every move, every thought feels so right. So blissfully easy. It was barely imaginable that Pogba could experience that this season during the testiest late-Mourinho days, when he was dropped, stripped of the vice-captaincy and publicly demeaned by his manager. What a stroke of fortune for Ole Gunnar Solskjær that a player such as Pogba needed the kind of ready encouragement he could not be happier to give. Nine goals and six assists since the Norwegian took over is a phenomenal return. Managers who have trusted this charismatic talent, who have let him be himself, usually find themselves richly rewarded.Pogba has benefited from the structural and motivational resurgence around him in United’s midfield. If he sprinkles the stardust, Herrera and a rejuvenated Nemanja Matic are vital in sweeping up around him.The combination has established a new balance at the heart of the team that has become so effective in protecting the defence and launching attacks. Herrera’s importance was underlined not only by his goal but also by a critical block when Eden Hazard shaped to shoot midway through the second half. Matic and Herrera have arguably never played so well and that has undeniably given Pogba that extra freedom.United fared well enough with the enforced change to their forward line in the absence of Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial. Rashford’s hard running was a constant enough threat that Chelsea’s defence did not have much chance to take a breath. Romelu Lukaku barged around and held the ball up. He organised, held some physical ground, influencing in a less spectacular but no less important way. His dominant personality seems to be so reassuring for United – something to cherish. To be suspicious of it, as his former manager was, seems more and more like a self-inflicted madness.Meanwhile, during a pivotal week for Chelsea, with a Europa League job to finish up against Malmö before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, Stamford Bridge is gripped by negativity. The fans in the Matthew Harding Stand vented their frustration when Ross Barkley was introduced despite their calls for Callum Hudson-Odoi. Chelsea Chants of “fuck Sarri-ball” added no sugar-coating to their emotions. They booed the arrival of Davide Zappacosta as a meaningless throw of the dice. Six days before they play a cup final, loudly suggesting that their own manager was getting sacked in the morning felt like a hell of a vote of confidence. For these two managers a few metres apart in their dugouts, in their own ways both fighting to keep these elite jobs, to be given time to make a lasting imprint, appeared to be at opposite ends of the trust spectrum. Solskjær was praised to the rafters by United fans who did not want to go home. Sarri was cursed by streams of early leavers who could not wait to get out.And how telling that in this derby of sides formerly managed by Mourinho, the player he made such a public enemy of should settle it all, rising the highest, shining the brightest. “This phenomenal team has put together a world-class facility to ease the pain of children. You don’t find this kind of effort happening every day, which reinforces even more the need to appreciate this kind of love that has been meted out to our children and their parents,” she said. Wife of the Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Juliet Holness, says every Jamaican deserves good healthcare and should have access to first-rate health facilities. Story Highlights Today, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is equipped with 10 infant warmers; eight incubators, two of which are transportable; and eight ventilators. Wife of the Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Juliet Holness, says every Jamaican deserves good healthcare and should have access to first-rate health facilities.Speaking at the opening of the renovated Paediatric Ward at the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital in St. Ann on March 22, Mrs. Holness said it is against that background that it is so commendable that the North East Regional Health Authority (NERHA) and the Issa Trust Foundation have joined together “to produce a world-class facility” for children.“This phenomenal team has put together a world-class facility to ease the pain of children. You don’t find this kind of effort happening every day, which reinforces even more the need to appreciate this kind of love that has been meted out to our children and their parents,” she said.In July 2010, the Issa Trust Foundation commenced a partnership with NERHA by launching the Paediatric Rotation and Paediatric Nursing Education programmes. Under these initiatives, significant investments were made by the Foundation in ensuring the training of select clinical staff across the region.Today, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is equipped with 10 infant warmers; eight incubators, two of which are transportable; and eight ventilators.“The Foundation team has also provided ongoing training and support to the unit and visits the hospital several times a year with needed equipment, pharmaceuticals, sundries and supplies and does ongoing training to sustain this critical partnership,” Mrs. Holness noted. She said there is hardly any better way to show love than to do something meaningful for children, adding that “this is the first step” in nation building.“The idea is for us to nurture the children, so they can become better Jamaican adults. We owe it to them by doing everything we can to give them that opportunity, and this is what the Foundation family has done with the renovations that took place at the Paedriatic Ward,” Mrs. Holness said. For his part, Chairman of the Foundation, Paul Issa, said his organisation, having forged an agreement with internationally renowned musical group, Air Supply, to be their Brand Ambassadors for Jamaica, hosted a successful fundraising concert in June 2017 on the grounds of the Couples San Souci Hotel in St. Ann, where $20 million was raised.“The Foundation has used the proceeds from this event to renovate the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital’s Paediatric Ward at a cost of $34 million,” he noted.
Both Real Betis and Club America have announced that 18-year old Diego Lainez, has signed a new contract with the Spanish club.In what can arguably be considered one of the best news of the year for Mexican football, young talent Diego Lainez has been announced as the newest transfer for Real Betis from the Spanish La Liga.At only 18-years of age, this player has been permanently linked to several clubs in European football which included the likes of Ajax, Manchester City, AS Roma, Olympique Lyonnais among others.Apart from Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano, this player has an incredible set of skills that place him at the very top amongst the most promising players of his generation and Club America new perfectly that they couldn’t hold him at the Mexican club for much longer.Despite the efforts of possibly keeping him for another semester, logic finally prevailed and the Liga MX champions accepted an offer for €15 million that was made official effective immediately. Both Club America and Real Betis announced the transfer just hours ago, they both celebrated this massive decision from one of the most talented Mexican players in recent history.Diego Lainez has been analyzed by our experts at Ronaldo.com already, this is a winger with skills that are very similar to those of great young talents such as Justin Kluivert from AS Roma, Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid, and even a young Neymar from his days at Santos FC.¡Viva México, cabrones! 🇲🇽😎🤙#Lainez2024 pic.twitter.com/AINUQKzYLT— Real Betis Balompié (@RealBetis) January 10, 2019When the rumors first started rolling around in several news outlets, there was a feeling that a major club in Europe could’ve decided to snatch him up from America but that would’ve possibly stopped his development to become a world-class player. To those who do not remember, Lainez was the MVP of the traditional Toulon Tournament that usually has featured some of the best players in the world at a very early age and he reached the final with Mexico but lost it against England. But that tournament was the beginning of an incredible journey that would eventually take Lainez to make this decision to give his first crack at European football in the Spanish La Liga, the youngster understood that coming to a club that wasn’t amongst the best in the continent but had a good reputation would be the way to go about things. In fact, there is actually no better squad than Quique Setien’s Real Betis for Diego Lainez to begin his career. The Spanish manager has always valued skill over physical prowess and he has never minded that his players are not very tall, only that they know what to do with the ball when they have to create chances in the last third of the pitch.Zidane reveals Sergio Ramos injury concern for Real Madrid Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Zinedine Zidane has put Sergio Ramos’ availability for Real Madrid’s trip to Sevilla next weekend in doubt after withdrawing him against Levante.📣 OFICIAL | El #RealBetis y el @ClubAmerica acuerdan el traspaso de Diego Lainez 👋🇲🇽😃➡ https://t.co/12N0KFYnTg#Lainez2024 pic.twitter.com/sCzYWgK6pz— Real Betis Balompié (@RealBetis) January 10, 2019Diego Lainez is already fixing every little detail that will get him sorted to make the trip, he should be in Spain in the following couple of days and he might even make his debut on Sunday when Real Betis plays against Real Madrid in La Liga.Playing his first-ever match in Spain against the current European champion would be a fitting way to start his career in the continent, Diego Lainez has always been a player who seems destined to do great things.Let us not forget that this player managed to become a regular for Miguel Herrera last season during the playoffs, and the bet resulted in Club America winning their 13th title in history. The youngster sent all the Real Betis fans a message through Twitter after the announcement was made: “I am very happy to be a part of Betis and it’s a very beautiful opportunity for everybody,” said Lainez on the Real Betis official website.“I’ve been told a great deal about the supporters here and that makes me very happy. I accept this challenge and I love all the passion there is at Betis.”“I am also very happy to be a part of this new project that has many quality players and top technical staff,” he concluded.¡Bienvenido a la familia bética, @DiegoLainez10! 🤗⚽✨#Lainez2024 pic.twitter.com/ykKyWnbbkm— Real Betis Balompié (@RealBetis) January 10, 2019How do you think Diego Lainez will do on his first season at Real Betis? Justin Stephens/CBS How we operate on social media can tell people a lot about us — and can be great fodder for drama.Nyambi Nyambi, who plays investigator Jay DiPersia in the legal and political drama The Good Fight, said that technology plays a huge part in his character’s work.”People put so much information about themselves and the community around them online that the digital imprint left behind can be clues into who they are at different moments in a day,” he said. “It seems like we are in a time where people are openly being transparent about their lives, but even if they are not, there’s a digital profile that will tell their story.”As a follow-up to the hit show The Good Wife, The Good Fight joined CBS All Access’ lineup in 2017. Its third season premieres Thursday. (Editors’ note: CBS is CNET’s parent company.)Nyambi, who describes DiPersia as a “moral compass,” told CNET what to expect from season 3 of The Good Fight — and also shared a few of his favorite apps.”Fans can expect an explosive exploration into race, politics, gender equality, love, betrayal and more,” Nyambi said. “What I love about our show are the immense chances our writers take and how they push us actors to explore the deeper issues that plague our humanity and are incredibly relevant today.”Nyambi said he leaves online investigation to DiPersia, though. While he likes to use Google’s search engine, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and IMDb, he doesn’t dive too far into another person’s online presence unless it’s for a script.”Generally, I prefer knowing as little as possible so when it comes time for a face-to-face conversation, I’m pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised by what I learn and hopefully come away with a deeper experience,” Nyambi said. “Jay is the opposite. He will go in and know everything he can. Information is power. KOLKATA: The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has refuted an alleged claim by Trinamool Congress leaders that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken only to Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi about the situation in Bengal following the cyclonic storm Fani. Trinamool leaders have allegedly said that the Prime Minister had called up Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, but did not contact Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. However, the PMO said that two attempts were made on Saturday morning from the Prime Minister’s staff to connect him to the Bengal Chief Minister on phone. “The first time, the staff attempting to place the call was told that the Bengal Chief Minister is on tour and the call will be returned. On the second occasion too, the staff attempting to place the call was told by the Chief Minister’s office that the call will be returned,” the PMO stated.
